Mendes’ involvement was concerned with the preparation of business plans for setting up CarSharing in Dublin and elsewhere, building on the pilot project in Cork operated by GoCar – www.gocar.ie.

With the interest in electric vehicles growing, Mendes’ involvement also included the feasibility of CarSharing vehicles being powered by alternative fuels, including biofuels and electricity from local sources, and how best to deploy them in CarSharing fleets.

One of the most important outputs from the MOMO project was the Momorandum on CarSharing, which along with various other documents from the project, is available from the MOMO website – www.momo-cs.eu and on a DVD, which is available free of charge from Mendes Limited at info@mendes.ie
