Maeve is a community and commuter transport specialist. Maeve worked on the PARAMOUNT project preparing case studies and educational material in public transport. She has worked on the preparation of operational plans for rural transport groups in Ireland and was a Transport Service Co-ordinator developing community based rural transport projects in Ireland, including Northern Ireland. Maeve has worked in two EU funded projects involving rural and demand responsive transport.

Maeve had many years of transport management experience working to reduce commuter journeys in an urban area. This included seven years in the management of a Transportation Demand Management programme for the Regional Transportation Planning Authority for the County of Santa Barbara, California.

Maeve has participated on both the Regional and National Boards for the Association for Commuter Transportation in the USA and was on the Board of the Community Transport Association of Ireland. She has a MA in Public Administration and a Certificate in Transportation Demand Management.
